Hey All!!

Well, we are now one day away from picking up the rented travel trailer. The owners are about one hour away from my house, in the opposite direction of my planned trip. No worries, it will give me a bit of time to get comfortable with the trailer and pick up any last minute forgotten items from home.

I’ve done my research and have identified a list of items that I will bring with me to make my experience a little more enjoyable as well as a list to ask the owners to make sure they have those much-needed convenience items.

If you don’t know, here is a quick synopsis of my trip. I am heading to Kansas City, MO to attend my Master’s Commencement. I need to be there on Friday around noonish. I plan to leave Tuesday (tomorrow) to begin the track westward, stopping along the way at points of interests, hopefully. This was originally planned as a motorcycle trip, which turned into a vehicle drive, which ended up being a camping or better known as glamping trips. As I head north and west, I will try to document everything, either in text or vlog, depending on what is going on.

I am taking this trip alone. My family will be on another vacation north to visit family, and we couldn’t do them both. This also offers me an opportunity to work out the kinks in hooking up, driving, and setting up a travel trailer. You know, as the dad, I have to know everything when the family is along for the ride. This way I can completely screw it up and no one will be the wiser.

I don’t normally vlog anything, so this that will also be a new experience for me.

So I hope you join me as I try to submit daily updates as I drive west (young man) to see how much fun it can be to own/rent a travel trailer.
